SPINNINGFIELDS TO STAGE ‘THE BIG PARTY’

Allied London lines up huge night of entertainment to celebrate launch of 3 Hardman Street and The Avenue

What: The BIG Party featuring a live set from Heather Small of M People
Where: Spinningfields, Manchester
When: 27th June 2007 – 6pm onwards

Allied London is to host a phenomenal night of entertainment later this month to celebrate the launch of its latest office building - 3 Hardman Street - and premier shopping destination - The Avenue – at its award-winning Spinningfields development.

Over a thousand guests are expected at the event, which will see former M-People lead singer Heather Small return to Manchester to perform a live solo set.

The event dubbed ‘The Big Party’ will feature daring aerial performances from the development’s signature buildings with acrobats performing breathtaking street theatre hundreds of feet in the air. Legendary Hacienda Dj Graeme Park will be providing classic sounds whilst the finest models from Boss Model Agency will be creating a unique show reflecting the style and luxury of The Avenue.

Allied London has commissioned a local filmmaker to create a high octane mini movie with breathtaking stunts that will be recreated live at the launch. Urban adventure runners will turn Spinningfields into an adventure playground, whilst pyrotechnic specialists Walk the Plank create a breathtaking show not to be missed.

No expense has been spared to make sure that The Big Party will be one of the most exhilarating and exciting events Manchester has ever seen.

Spinningfields is one of the UK’s largest city centre property development schemes. With a total investment of £1.5bn, Spinningfields is a 427,450 sq m (4,600,000 sq ft) mixed-use development between the River Irwell and Deansgate – one of Manchester’s main thoroughfares.

Offering twelve signature buildings and world-class architecture, Spinningfields is already home to The Royal Bank of Scotland, Nat West, Grant Thornton, Deloittes, Barclays Bank Group, HSBC, Guardian Media Group, Wagamama and EAT, together with a major 750,000 sq ft civil and criminal courts complex for the Department for Constitutional Affairs.

3 Hardman Street, designed by architects Sheppard Robson, totals 350,000sq ft of Grade A office space offering up to 35,000 sq ft floor plates - the largest single floor plate in the city.

The 12 storey building which includes four ‘stepped’ elements and features four separate office entrances, ground floor mezzanine and upmarket retail units has been designed in particular for the expanding financial and professional services demand in Manchester and offers tenants accommodation from 10,000 sq ft upwards.

The Avenue is Spinningfields premier shopping destination and will form the nucleus of a concentrated cluster of international haute couture fashions and accessories complemented by national and international restaurants.

With a total investment of £1.5bn, Spinningfields is a 427,450 sq m (4,600,000 sq ft) mixed-use development between the River Irwell and Deansgate – one of Manchester’s main thoroughfares.

It has a combination of world-class architecture and inviting contemporary public space, with the vitality that comes from its exciting mix of offices, retail, restaurants, bars and living space. The new civic buildings complete the development: a new home for Manchester’s Magistrates’ Court, a new Civil Justice Centre and a new building for Manchester College of Arts and Technology (MANCAT). Already complete and operational is the first phase of office buildings – 1 Hardman Boulevard and 1 Spinningfields Square, both occupied by The Royal Bank of Scotland, The Magistrates’ Court and MANCAT and office buildings for the Guardian Media Group, Deloittes, HSBC and Grant Thornton. Leftbank residential apartments and the new 685-spaced NCP Car Park.  Spinningfields comprises the city centre’s new Central Business District and will continue to be a major news story for the commercial property market outside London until 2010 and beyond.
